Fabrication Lead
Position Summary:
Creates spools, production schedules, and detailed production plans for the production department. The Maintains extensive knowledge of CAD-type programs, including REVIT and uses that knowledge to develop and implement on-time production schedules.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develops design drawings according to engineering sketches, drawings, etc.
- Creates comprehensive production schedules, specifications, and work flows.
- Monitors equipment, time, and materials during production

- Creates comprehensive production schedules, specifications, and work flows (35%)
- Monitors equipment, time, and materials during production process
- Collaborate with internal staff to obtain specified drawings, plans, schematics, etc.
- Communicate work schedule to fabrication team
- Provide updates to required personnel
- Design scale or full-size blueprints, spools, etc., relating to fabrication functions
- Develop productions plans and schedules to maximize fabrication output
- Liaise with internal and external clients to understand current and future fabrication needs
- Review all provided documentation to obtain material, time, and personnel requirements
- Compile and report on production reports as needed
- Monitor work-flow and implement improvements if necessary
- Maintain proficiency in current local, state, and/or federal codes, guidelines, and regulations affecting fabrication requirements
- Complete all required documentation, including but not limited to: Purchase orders, invoice validation, bill of lading, etc.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in REVIT
- 2+ years’ experience with Fabrication
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge: Strong understanding and creation of blueprints, specs, drawings and instructions. Knowledge of spearhead planning and implementation strategies of multiple projects in an organized manner with commitment to meeting deadlines. Must be able to critically evaluate processes and projects and synthesize insights to arrive at a summary of overall organizational status.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Abilities: Ability to read schematics, accurately prepare documents, production sheets and other reports and related paperwork as required by procedures; Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints; Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion; Ability to apply principles of logical thinking of a wide range of practical problems; Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Overtime may be necessary as work load’s dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
