CNC, Edge Finisher, and Saw Router

Position Summary: This position is responsible for programming, operating and maintaining precision machinery to cut, shape, and finish materials according to production specifications. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely production.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Program and operate CNC machines, saws, routers, and edge banders/edgers to produce components according to drawings, templates, or digital files.
  • Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists to determine material dimensions and machine settings.
  • Set up, calibrate, and adjust machinery for optimal performance, accuracy, and material utilization.
  • Monitor machine operations, identify errors or quality issues, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
  • Ensure quality standards by inspecting finished parts for accuracy, consistency, and defects.
  • Safely handle, load, and stage raw materials and finished products.
  • Collaborate with production team members to meet project deadlines and resolve technical or workflow challenges.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety policies.
  • Accurately record production data, material usage, and maintenance activities.
  • Other job duties as assigned, based on business needs. 

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC or woodworking preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience operating CNC machinery, saws, routers, or edge banders in a woodworking or manufacturing environment.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, squares, etc.).
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper material handling.
  • Commitment to cooperation with other employees
  • Ability to problem solve both independently and with others

Overtime may be necessary as work workloads dictate.This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
